My name is Samille Vanessa (SaVa). I am an African-American 30-something yr old woman attending medical school in the Caribbean. My “journey to MD” has landed me at Trinity School of Medicine in St. Vincent & the Grenadines. This site is essentially a journal of a non-traditional medical school student. Against all odds, I am an MS1 blazing my own trail towards become a Family & Emergency Medicine Physician.
